Life pacific university

We have partnered with Life Pacific University, offering six fully accredited degrees that typically take two to four years to complete. Students earn fully accredited transferrable, online degrees, via on-demand video courses, that are integrated into our hands-on immersive ministry training experience. Return for a second year of internship, or continue your coursework on your own.

We are also offering the AG Credentialing Pathway through our partnership with Vanguard University. This is a excellent option for students who know they want to be in ministry within the Assemblies of God. Students will have the opportunity to complete all three levels of ministerial credentialing (Certification, Licensed, and Ordained) and earn fully accredited transferrable, online credits, via on-demand video courses, that are also integrated into our hands-on immersive ministry training experience.

When God calls you to grow, He sometimes does it with the ocean in the background! Imagine doing ministry training in one of the most beautiful places in the country. Oceanside, California is a vibrant coastal city in North San Diego County where the sun shines nearly 300 days a year and the Pacific Ocean is minutes away. Whether you're surfing the waves at Oceanside Pier, going on a run along the sand, grabbing a coffee at one of the city's thriving local coffee shops, exploring the boutique shops along Coast Highway, or hiking the trails of the surrounding hills, there is no shortage of ways to rest, explore, and be refreshed outside of program hours. San Diego's world-famous Zoo and Safari Park, Balboa Park, and countless beaches and outdoor adventures are all within easy reach. This is not just a place to train. It's a place to fall in love with — and the people and community you'll build here will make it even better.

Yes. CCLC partners with accredited universities so that your coursework counts toward real college credit. Our primary academic partner is Life Pacific University (LPU), which is regionally accredited by WSCUC — the same accreditor as UCLA and USC. Credits earned through LPU can potentially transfer to other colleges and universities.

Note: Credit transferability depends on the receiving institution. We strongly encourage students who plan to continue their education to contact their next school before enrolling to confirm how credits will be applied.

The academic component is designed to be rigorous but manageable alongside your ministry commitments. Coursework is delivered online and self-paced, giving you flexibility to study around your ministry schedule. Monday is your primary academic day, but you'll have coursework to engage with throughout the week. Your instructors and CCLC staff will support you in staying on track.

Spiritual formation is woven into every part of the program — not just a class you take. You'll be in community with your cohort, under the mentorship of experienced ministry leaders, engaged in worship and church life every week, and doing real ministry that will push you and grow you in ways a classroom never could. You'll also have regular one-on-one mentorship built into your weekly schedule.

Absolutely — and this is one of the most valuable parts of CCLC. You are not a separate program that meets in a back room. You are embedded in the life of Coast City Church from day one. You'll serve alongside our staff, worship with our congregation, and build relationships that will outlast the program year. This community is one of the things we believe will change your life.

CCLC offers two options — residential and commuter. Residential students are placed with an approved host family from within the Coast City Church congregation, providing a safe, Spirit-filled home environment for the year. Commuter students live at home and participate in all program activities from their own residence. Both options will make sure every student feels fully included in the community & program regardless of housing situation.

Ideally, yes. You are responsible for your own transportation to and from church and program activities. If you don't have a vehicle, we will take your proximity to Coast City Church into account during the host family matching process.

Ministry doesn't stop at the church doors — and neither does community.

For interns coming to Coast City Leadership College from outside the area, we've built a Home Opener Program that connects them with church  families who open their homes for the year. It's more than a place to sleep — it's a chance for interns to be discipled in the everyday moments of life, not just in the classroom.

What a Home Opener Family Provides 

  • A private or shared room for the intern during the program year
  • A welcoming, faith-centered household that models Christian life in action
  • Access to basic living needs (kitchen, laundry, common spaces)
